I’ve had a passion and focus on creating secure attachments my entire life, initially that looked like developing a safe space for young mothers, to then being a parent coach in the school systems. This led me to pursue training under the model of Emotion Focused Therapy, developed by Dr. Sue Johnson, which is rooted in attachment theory. Safe attachment gives us space to work through life’s challenges with our loved ones and the confidence to make space for ourselves in the greater world. I have a passion for helping individuals, couples and families through transitions and stuck spaces. Many of these stressors can be found when you or your loved ones are experiencing mental health challenges including anxiety, depression and ADHD.
I believe therapy is work, AND it’s also an investment both in your own happiness and the well-being of your future generations. A client once said to me “coming here is like a deep-tissue massage, it hurts while I’m doing it, but boy do I feel better after”.
